What Tarot Means to Me
If you ask 20 different Tarot readers what Tarot means to them, you’ll get a minimum of 20 different answers. Ultimately, it’s a personal journey where you, the reader or the seeker, gets to ascribe the meaning. There’s no “right” answer.
It can be as mystical or as mundane as you want it to be
I sometimes surprise my clients when I tell them Tarot can be a magical, divine experience or it can simply be that the human experience is common and every card can be beneficial to every person at any given time.
It’s true though, at least to me. See, I don’t care much if Tarot is “real” I care if it is helpful, enlightening, healing. I care if it makes a difference in your life, I don’t care as much about predicting your future.
Tarot offers insight to those open to receive it. Where the insight comes from is not my concern. I’m not going to tell an atheist skeptic that some divine being in the sky orchestrated our encounter because that will not help. And at the end of the day, I want to be of help.
Personally though,
There’s something to it. Is it confirmation bias? Is it mind over matter? I don’t know, but I have had too many success stories, too many “thank you” texts and too many personal experiences with the cards to count this as simple coincidences.
To me, Tarot is sacred, powerful and beneficial. The rest is just details.
